Fish, Kenny and Politics

Nice to read your comment, Fish! Yours, too, Kenny. Since you like politics, why don't you -- Kenny -- write your views on the current situation in your comment and let's see what the others say?

Do write in a way that won't get you into trouble. I don't want to have you carted away by men in plainsclothes in the middle of the day or night and not know where you disappeared too!

Make sure the rest of you comment, you, Fish, esp!

Well, let's talk about our land, malaysia! Beautiful country.. Brought about by UMNO, MIC and MCA by Tunku Abdul Rahman, a man I truly adore until this day! In his draft constitution sent to Reid Comission 1956(i think), he brought about racial unity that gained the UMNO-MCA-MIC coalition legitimacy.

50 years down the road, what happened? Suddenly Malaysian Chinese are foreigners? Indian temples brought down without consent? Do not seem to be the vision of our great Tunku Abdul Rahman to me! Governing politicians who incite racial remarks gets away easily but non-governing politician who was 'blamed' doing nothing was detained by ISA??
It's true that our country is just 50 years compared to let's say Britain or United States.. These things are bound to happen, as countries develope. There's not going to be a "peaceful" progression. We learn from mistakes, look at Germany! They learnt from the rise of totalitarianism by Hitler!

Our country is not democratic, it may be semi-democratic OR semi-authoritarian, but democratic? not there yet.

Lets move to the US. As we know Obama and McCain are the nominees for president. McCain picked a woman from Alaska as a vice-president running mate, who has getting a lot of attention from press lately, and Obama picked someone who has experiences in foreign policy and in Congress.
Its just less than 2 months we're going to see either the making of a new history or the same policies like Bush!

tats' all for now....I gotta go to school! whee!!!
